Latest screenshots

After the fixes to my HDR pipeline and albedo, the ambient lighting/global illumination, ambient occlusion map, and various other tweaks, I thought I’d show some screenshots of the results.

I like the detail still visible in the shadowed areas of the colorful plants.

The snow is now textures, instead of taking the normal map from the underlying terrain (which looked terrible). Taking into account the bright snowpack when calculating ambient light helps brighten the dark cliffs. The inset shows what it would be like if I used a fixed scene albedo instead (i.e. too dark).

Good detail in the shaded part.

I have a mode that provides a bit of a vignette in dim night light, helping to create the feel of a dark night while still being able to see things (this isn't new, I just thought it looked nice).

Slight darkening along the base of the wall, visible mainly in the shadows.
